WEST CHESTER, Pa.- Winners of four of six, the West Chester University men's tennis team (5-6) heads into the weekend with a pair of important matches on the slate as the Golden Rams will host West Virginia Wesleyan (12-5) at home on Friday beginning at 4 p.m. before visiting Frostburg State (6-8) on April 18 beginning at 2 p.m. in what will be the team's final road test of the season.

The Series
Against West Virginia Wesleyan, West Chester is 0-3 against the Bobcats dating back to an April 2018 loss in Buckhannon. WVWC has not visited West Chester since an April 19, 2024 victory over the Golden Rams, which saw the Bobcats prevail by a 7-0 final.
Against Frostburg State, West Chester is 0-3 in a more limited history as the Golden Rams faced the Bobcats for the first time in 2022 after FSU made the move from Division III to Division II. West Chester will make its first visit to Frostburg State since a 4-3 loss on the road in April 2023.

West Virginia Wesleyan makes the trip north on Friday for back-to-back matches in Pennsylvania, as the Bobcats will visit West Chester on Friday afternoon before facing Jefferson on Saturday. With a record of 12-5 on the year, WVWC has won each of its last three matches, including 7-0 victories over Frostburg State and West Liberty on April 10 and 12. The Bobcats are 4-1 in their last five matches, with the lone loss coming by a 5-2 final at Charleston (W.V.) on April 4.
Scouting Frostburg State
Frostburg State heads into a match at home against West Virginia State on Friday with a record of 6-8 overall after back-to-back losses to WVWC (7-0) and Davis & Elkins (5-2) on April 10 and 15, respectively. These losses halted a modest two-match winning streak for Frostburg, which included 7-0 wins over West Liberty and UDC, which halted a four-match losing streak that had begun on March 17 with a 6-1 loss to Hampton following a 5-2 win over Millersville on March 10.
