WEST CHESTER, Pa.- The West Chester University men's tennis team (5-10, 1-4) is set to conclude its 2025-26 season on Thursday afternoon at home against Jefferson (12-6, 4-0) on South Campus in West Chester on Thursday beginning at 2 p.m.

West Chester will look to end its regular season in the win column after falling to Kutztown by a 5-2 final on Tuesday night for the team's fourth loss in a row after enjoying a run, which saw the team win four of six matches earlier this spring. Against Kutztown,
Juan Pablo Beirana-Guzman and
Alessandro Melotti were both victorious by 6-4, 4-6, 10-3 and 6-2, 6-3 finals but it was not enough for West Chester to defeat the visiting Golden Bears.

Since 2009, West Chester is 3-12 against Jefferson, including an eight-match losing streak, which began in March 2017. West Chester fell to Jefferson by a 7-0 final in Philadelphia in October 2024 and fell to the Rams by a 6-1 final in West Chester in September 2023 in their last visit to South Campus.

Jefferson enters play on Thursday at 12-6 overall and 4-0 in league action after a 4-3 win over Edinboro last Friday in the Rams last league match and a pair of wins over West Virginia Wesleyan (4-0) and Arcadia (7-0) on Saturday and Tuesday in non-league action.
Individually, Jules Thibault is a team-best 13-5 in singles, including a mark of 10-3 at third singles, while Antonio Mateos Melenchon is 12-6, including a mark of 8-4 in fourth singles. Nicholas Trebuchet is 10-8 in singles, including a 9-7 mark at first singles.
In doubles, Thibault and Melenchon are 11-2, including a record of 8-1 in third doubles and 3-1 at second doubles, while Filip Slavkovic and Matt Cizmarik are 8-5, including a mark of 7-5 at first doubles.
