WEST CHESTER, Pa.- The West Chester University softball team (24-18) appeared in the first Division II Softball Regional Rankings of the season as released by the Division II Softball Committee on Wednesday afternoon. West Chester was among 10 teams from the Atlantic Region to appear in the initial alphabetical rankings and is one of six programs from the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) listed.
Bloomsburg, East Stroudsburg, Kutztown, Lock Haven, Shippensburg, and West Chester all represent the PSAC in the first rankings, while Charleston (W.V.), Fairmont State, Frostburg State, and Glenville State represent the Mountain East Conference.
West Chester will be back in action on Thursday at home against Kutztown before hosting East Stroudsburg on Friday as the Golden Rams continue their final two weeks of PSAC play this week. A full preview of the Golden Rams series later this week is available

Two more sets of rankings are due to be released on April 29 and May 6, ahead of the Division II Softball selection show on Monday, May 11 at 10 a.m.
