Deirdre Bertotti Earns Division 2 Regional Administrator of the Year

PITTSBURGH, PA – The Women's Collegiate Gymnastics Association (WCGA) announced the recipients of its 2026 regional awards, honoring excellence across collegiate gymnastics, and West Chester University Assistant Athletic Director for Compliance, Deirdre Bertotti, was once again selected as the Division 2 Regional Administrator of the Year.

These prestigious awards recognize outstanding achievement and leadership in coaching, athletic performance, and administration across the sport. The WCGA presents awards annually in each of the six NCAA Division I regions, as well as in Division II and Division III (East and West), reflecting the depth of talent and dedication throughout the collegiate gymnastics community.

WCGA Regional Administrator of the Year honors athletics administrators who have made a significant impact on their gymnastics programs and institutions. Selected by regional head coach vote, these individuals exemplify the spirit of support and excellence in collegiate athletics.

Bertotti earned her third Administrator of the Year Award in recognition of everything she does for West Chester's Women's Gymnastics team each and every year. This past winter, Bertotti spearheaded the school's effort to host the Women's Collegiate Gymnastics National Invitational Championship (WCGNIC) for the second time in three years. This time, however, came on short notice in December when the original school was no longer available to carry out hosting duties. Bertotti's commitment to the student-athletes in order to give them a championship experience that they would never forget did not go unnoticed by the WCGA and its voting body.

Bertotti also won the award in consecutive years, 2022 and 2023.

"These honors represent the commitment, creativity, and drive that embody collegiate gymnastics," said Casey Jo MacPherson, Chair of the WCGA Board of Directors. "We're proud to recognize this year's honorees and applaud the lasting contributions they've made to their teams, their schools, and the gymnastics community as a whole."

Award recipients will be formally recognized at the WCGA Annual Meeting later this year.
