EVENT FINALS RESULTS
WEST CHESTER, PA – Freshman
Madelyn McCullough (Covington Twp., Pa.) finished fourth on the uneven bars at the Women's Collegiate Gymnastics National Invitational Championships Sunday afternoon inside Hollinger Fieldhouse on the campus of West Chester University. The host Golden Rams landed a school record eight individuals on one of the two All-America squads revealed at the conclusion of the event finals.
Â
McCullough equaled her career-high with a 9.7500 to tie for fourth and represented the only Golden Ram to reach the podium (Top 6 finish) on Sunday.
Grace McNamara (Baltimore, Md.) competed on the uneven bars in the second portion of the event and scored a 9.6875 to place ninth overall.
Â

"I couldn't have done it without my coaches, that's for sure," McCullough said afterwards. "I put my all into everything I did this year, and it led up to nationals and this moment. After my major release on the high bar, is when I usually tell myself, 'I've got this.' I went 3-for-3 and stuck my landings (this weekend). I really just wanted to make the team finals with my teammates and for the seniors competing in their final meet."
Â
"Maddie is a rock star," West Chester head coach Barb Cordova said. "She just improved every single meet. She is our leadoff on bars, which is not an easy task, and I think that helped her prepare for this weekend. She was awesome all weekend long."
Â
Senior
Sarah Eskew (Pittsburgh, Pa.) was the first gymnast of the afternoon to compete. She led off the final session of the championships on the vault scoring a 9.425 to finish 12th overall.

Â
Junior
Lydia Stoner (Palmyra, Pa.) was the lone Golden Ram gymnast competing on the balance beam where she finished seventh overall with a 9.700.
Â
Catherine Keener (Holy Springs, N.C.) was the only participant from West Chester on the floor exercise as well. She scored a 9.7375 to place ninth overall.
