No. 7 East Stroudsburg Defeats No. 10 West Chester, 23-15

EAST STROUDSBURG, PA – East Stroudsburg rode the momentum of a strong second quarter to a 23-15 victory over West Chester in the semifinals of the Atlantic Regional of the 2026 NCAA Division II Women's Lacrosse Tournament Saturday afternoon at Whitenight Field.
 
West Chester (16-5) held a lead after 15 minutes of play. However, host East Stroudsburg (19-1) outscored the Golden Rams by a 9-2 margin in the second quarter, claimed a 13-7 lead at the break, and never looked back. The Warriors advance to the Atlantic Region Final next Saturday and will host Kutztown, who upset Slippery Rock, 9-6, in the other semifinal in Slippery Rock, Pa.
 
Marissa Herring (Landenberg, Pa./Kennett Square) led the Golden Rams with four goals. Kendall Fortune (Jarrettsville, Pa./North Harford) finished with three goals and three assists for a team-best six points. Audrey Miller (Sinking Spring, Pa./Wilson) had three goals and posted four points in the loss. Avery Roberts (Mantua, N.J./Clearview) also had a hat trick.
 
Caitlin Trickett (Sinking Spring, Pa./Wilson) picked up a team-high six draw controls for the Golden Rams.
 
Morgan Koons (Mountain Top, Pa./Crestwood) started the game in goal for West Chester and registered six saves in 51 minutes of action. Korrigan Sweeney (Pottstown, Pa./Owen J. Roberts) was credited with one save.
 
East Stroudsburg was led by Sadie Kauffman and Jolee Roth, who each scored a game-high five goals. Ariana Tucci and Lauren Hallman each added four goals apiece. Molly Atwell picked up 13 draw controls.
 
Madison McBride was the starting keeper for ESU and played 51 minutes making seven saves. Abby Simonetti played nine minutes for the Warriors.
