RUTHERFORD, N.J.- The West Chester University women's volleyball team (2-2) returned to action on Tuesday night in the Garden State against Felician (3-1) in the first match of a nine-match road trip. West Chester fell to Felician by a 3-0 (25-23, 25-23, 25-18) final to begin the Golden Rams' nearly three-week-long road trip.

The Golden Rams battled throughout the evening but fell victim to late runs in each set as the Golden Falcons captured three of the final four points in the first set, five of the last eight in the second set, and four of the last six in the third set, including an ace, which finished off a 3-0 victory for Felician.

CeCe Isenberg (Berwick, Pa./Berwick) led West Chester in kills with 11, while Gwen Atkins (Morristown, N.J./Morristown) posted nine kills of her own. Bria Stepp (Cranberry Twp, Pa./Seneca Valley) led West Chester in assists with 16.

Atkins and Brooke Forster (Langhorne, Pa./Conwell-Egan) tied for the team lead in aces with two each.

Anna Richardson (Smyrna, Del./Smyrna) led West Chester in digs with 15 in the road setback.

West Chester hit just .223 (31-10-94) in the loss, with its top hitting performance coming in the first set when the Golden Rams hit .235 (11-3-34) before hitting .216 (12-4-37) and .217 (8-3-23) in the second and third sets, respectively.
