WEST CHESTER, PA – A clash of Top 5 opponents takes place at Vonnie Gros Field on Tuesday afternoon as No. 5 West Chester and No. 3 East Stroudsburg meet for the first of two encounters during the 2026 regular season. Game time at Vonnie Gros Field on Thursday is set for 4 p.m.
- Thursday's match will be a non-conference affair. The game between the two Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) rivals on Oct. 10 in East Stroudsburg will count in the league standings.
- East Stroudsburg comes into the contest undefeated on the year at 6-0. The Warriors are led by first-year head coach Katie Ord, who took over the program's reins from long-time legendary head coach, Sandy Miller, on Aug 6, 2026. Ord was an assist for Miller for the last 14 seasons, which has led to a seamless transition. Miller serves as a voluntary assistant on Ord's staff after leading the program for 41 years and amassing 530 career wins at the helm.
- Back, Anna Finn (Windsor, N.Y./Windsor), ranks second in all of Division II with a 1.50 goals per game average. Her six goals on the year is tied for fourth, but leads all defensive players in goals scored.
- The majority of Finn's goals have come of penalty corners, and West Chester currently ranks 10th in the nation in that category, averaging 9.25 penalty corner opportunities per game.
- East Stroudsburg ranks third in the PSAC in scoring, averaging 4.167 goals per game while West Chester is fourth in the conference in goals allowed per game (1.00). ESU's defense ranks third in the PSAC as well while West Chester's defense also ranks fourth. Scoring may be at a premium on Tuesday at Vonnie Gros.
