SCRANTON, Pa.- Following a 3-1 setback to East Stroudsburg on Friday night, the West Chester University women's volleyball team (8-8) returned to action on Saturday afternoon at Lackawanna (0-8). The Golden Rams bounced back quickly and returned to .500 on the season with a dominant 3-0 (25-14, 25-17, 25-13) victory over the Falcons to finish their September slate with a victory.

CeCe Isenberg (Berwick, Pa./Berwick) led West Chester in kills with eight, along with seven each from Julia Kwitchoff (Niagara Falls, N.Y./Niagara Wheatfield) and Mave Gallagher (Pottstown, Pa./Pope John Paul II). Ada Koksal (Istanbul, Turkey/Terakki) and Hailey Atkins (Morristown, N.J./Morristown) tied for the team lead in aces with two each.

Kwitchoff led West Chester in blocks with a hand in seven blocks, while Gallagher had a role in a pair for West Chester. Elianna Freeman (Jersey Village, Tx./Jersey Village) led West Chester in digs with 12, while Koksal had 26 assists to help keep the Golden Ram offense running throughout the afternoon.

West Chester never appeared to be in danger of an upset loss to the Falcons throughout the afternoon as the Golden Rams jumped out to an early lead in the first set and rolled to a 25-14 victory before taking the second set 25-17 and the third and final set by a 25-13 final to finish off the sweep.

West Chester hit .247 (28-9-77) in the victory, including a .348 (9-1-23) effort in the third set as West Chester finished off the sweep of Lackawanna to return to 8-8 on the season.

Led by eight kills from Ciona Braziel, Lackawanna hit just .021 (22-20-95) in the setback, including negative performances in the first (8-9-40) and third (5-7-28) sets.
