Five Things to Know
- West Chester enters play on Saturday afternoon following a 1-0 win over East Stroudsburg on the road on Wednesday night. West Chester dominated the match from start to finish, finishing the night with a 16-3 lead in shots, a 6-1 lead in shots on goal, and an 8-2 lead in corners. Abigail Hanemann (Point Pleasant Beach, N.J./Point Pleasant Boro) was the difference maker in the victory as she scored in the 51st minute off an assist from Kianna Barber (Browns Mills, N.J./BCIT) to lift West Chester to the 1-0 victory.
- Grace Keen (Lincoln University, Pa./Avon Grove) continued her climb through the record books on Wednesday night as she recorded a save on the Warriors' lone shot on goal and picked up her 30th career shutout, which is now solo for the third most in team history.
- Saturday's game will be the first meeting between the Golden Rams and Lackawanna in any sport. Lackawanna is in the process of applying for Division II Membership and, once approved, will become the newest member of the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC). 2026 is the first year of that process, which means Saturday's game will not count as a conference game, nor will it count toward selection for the NCAA Tournament.
- Lackawanna will embark on its first PSAC road trip on Saturday, as well as the Falcons started their tenure against PSAC foes with a 6-0 loss to Shippensburg last Saturday and a 7-0 loss to Kutztown on Wednesday night inside Schautz Stadium in Dunmore.
- West Chester opened the season sixth in the Division II women's soccer coaches poll and has since climbed to third after opening the season with a 1-0 win at Bloomsburg last Saturday afternoon. The Golden Rams were slated to open the campaign vs No. 11 Jefferson in Philadelphia on August 27, but that game was postponed due to lightning. A make-up date has yet to be announced.

West Chester will enjoy a week off before its next game on the road at Shippensburg next Saturday at 5 p.m., before hosting a pair of games on September 16 and 19 against Millersville and Mansfield beginning at 2 and 12 p.m., respectively.
