Blocking tight end, who enters the game in the jumbo sets or on short-yardage situations … also expected to play offensive tackle for the Golden Rams … can play either position equally well … excellent run-blocker … big, strong lineman with a tremendous push off the ball … versatile athlete, who may be an option to catch a pass out of the jumbo formation … will focus on his blocking ability for the most part … that is where he excels … has made tremendous strides in his two years in the program … coaching staff is expecting his development and improvement to continue … member of AD academic honor roll … letterwinner.

2008: Appeared in 10 games for the Golden Rams … started the season as both a reserve offensive tackle on the depth chart as well as a reserve tight end … moved primarily to tight end as the season progressed due to injuries … offensive line remained a strength, enabling Gounaris to make the switch full time to tight end. 

2007: Appeared in one game … saw action in regular-season finale at Cheyney … did not figure statistically in the contest … made his collegiate debut against the cross-town rival Wolves.

2006: Red-shirted.
