Biography

Has suffered through two injury-plagued campaigns each of the past two falls ... returns for senior season as one of the conference’s top running backs … has inked his name in both the West Chester and PSAC record books, despite his penchant for getting hurt ... his 39 career rushing touchdowns ranks 15th all-time in the PSAC … lists third all-time at West Chester in career rushing TDs … is just two scores shy of the school record for rushing scores entering the campaign … his 44 total touchdowns in his career are four shy of the school standard … stands seventh all-time at the school in yards rushing with 2,893 … ranks third all-time in career all-purpose yards with 4,755 … ranks third all-time in career scoring (264 points) … an explosive player who can generate scoring opportunities from anywhere on the field ... looking to show the rest of the conference and the country of what a healthy Osunde is capable … possesses breakaway speed out of the backfield and a shiftiness that makes him difficult to tackle in the open field ... low center of gravity makes him difficult to see behind West Chester’s offensive line … capable blocker with good hands out of the backfield as well … one of top all-around athletes on the squad … three-year letterwinner … member of AD’s academic honor roll list.

2006: Finished second on the team in rushing, despite appearing in just seven games … started first six contests before going down to an injury against Bloomsburg in the sixth game of the season … appeared opposite East Stroudsburg in the second half of the season after getting injured at Bloomsburg, but did not carry the ball … carried the ball 89 times for 522 yards and six touchdowns … averaged 5.9 yards per tote … busted loose for a career-high 205 yards and four TDs in a 53-12 rout over cross-town rival Cheyney on homecoming weekend … marked his first and only 200-yard rushing effort at the collegiate level … also highlighted the 16th time in school history that a running back amassed over 200 yards rushing in a game.

2005: Appeared in just three games before losing the remainder of the season to injury … posted 63 carries for 356 yards and three TDs … averaged 5.7 yards per carry and 118.7 yards per game ... longest run was 65 yards ... turned in brilliant effort in his final game opposite IUP … posted 182 yards rushing and two touchdowns.

2004: Appeared in 13 games, finishing the campaign with 241 carries for 1,151 yards and 17 touchdowns … averaged 4.8 yards per carry and 88.5 yards per game ... racked up 2,026 all-purpose yards, averaging 155.8 yards per game ... scored 18 TDs for 108 points ... his 2,026 all-purpose yards ranks as the third-best single-season total of all-time at West Chester ... became just the third Golden Ram to post over 2,000 all-purpose yards in one season ... his 1,151 rushing yards tied the WCU record for the ninthbest all time in a single season ... rushed for 149 yards at East Stroudsburg and 146 yards vs. Bloomsburg ... ran for 129 yards versus Millersville ... ran for 100 yards at Glenville State ... selected All-PSAC East first team running back ... chosen as an ECAC Division II all-star ... also picked as a Daktronics Division II All-Northeast Region first team all-purpose back ... selected to the Don Hansen’s Football Gazette Division II All-America team (honorable mention) and All-Northeast Region second team.

2003: Appeared in all 11 games … racked up 120 carries for 864 yards and averaged 78.5 rushing yards per game, 7.2 rushing yards per carry and 13 TDs ... posted 1,534 all-purpose yards ... averaged 139.5 all-purpose yards per game ... scored 90 points on 15 touchdowns ... rushed for 152 yards on 24 carries with two TDs in first career game at New Haven ... rushed for 124 yards on 14 carries with three TDs vs. Glenville State ... posted 148 yards on 16 carries vs. Cheyney ... produced 138 yards on 16 attempts at Mansfield ... scooted 78 yards for a score on a punt return opposite Clarion ... also galloped 78 yards on a run from scrimmage for a score in the same game ... hauled in an 86-yard scoring strike versus Millersville … tied for the third-longest scoring play in school history ...
