Biography

Team captain and three-year starter at free safety ... extremely physical player … one of the hardest hitters on the squad … all-league performer in 2006 … candidate again for all-league honors … also a candidate for regional honors … one of the top defensive backs in the conference … leads by example … brings intensity and ferocity on every snap … anticipates well … one of the leading tacklers on the squad in each of the past three seasons ... owns a great deal of playing experience in the secondary ... brings a string of 25 consecutive starts into the new campaign … one of only a few Golden Rams to have played in 40 career games … has appeared in all seven NCAA II playoff contests in his career ... has the ability to make big plays ... five tackles shy of 200 in his career entering the fall season … possesses excellent football intelligence, terrific speed and a mental and physical toughness ... named the Mickey Greenwood Memorial Scholarship winner twice … three-time letterwinner.

2006: Started all 13 games … second team All-PSAC East selection … finished second on the team in tackles with 76 … recorded 36 solo stops … intercepted one pass against Mansfield and returned it 22 yards … credited with two passes defensed (Cheyney, Bryant) … posted season-high 11 tackles opposite Edinboro in season lid-lifter … recovered a fumble at East Stroudsburg ... notched another seven stops at Delaware in week two ... credited with just two tackles in each of the following two games against Clarion and Shippensburg ... posted four tackles, three solo, against Cheyney on homecoming ... never registered fewer than four tackles in a contest after the Cheyney tilt ... registered 22 tackles over the next six weeks ... highlighted that run with eight stops against Millersville ... recorded eight tackles in each of West Chester’s two NCAA playoff contests against Bryant and Bloomsburg ... posted total of 14 tackles in two meetings against the Huskies.

2005: Appeared in 12 games … collected 75 tackles, including 57 solo stops … also recorded one tackle for a loss (East Stroudsburg) and two fumble recoveries … fumble recoveries came in consecutive weekends against Millersville and Mansfield … credited with two passes defensed in same game against Shippensburg … posted double figures in stops against IUP (11) and C.W. Post (14) ... posted season-high eight solo stops in IUP contest ... credited with five tackles in season opener against Clarion, four of the solo variety ... registered seven solo stops at North Dakota the following week ... recorded eight more stops following week at Delaware ... totaled 26 tackles in three-week span for the Golden Rams ... recorded three tackles each in next two tilts opposite Cheyney and Kutztown ... only mustered one assisted stop in contest against Millersville ... posted three tackles in win over Mansfield ... eight-tackle performance opposite East Stroudsburg began a stretch that saw him record 34 stops in final four tilts of the campaign ... notched seven stops against Bloomsburg.

2004: Appeared in all 15 games … recorded 54 tackles, 41 of the solo variety … also managed one tackle for a loss (Cheyney), two passes defensed (NW Missouri St., Bloomsburg) and one interception (East Stroudsburg) ... posted 18 tackles in win versus Bloomsburg, tying the mark for the third most stops in a single game in school history … 16 of his 18 stops were solo efforts ... registered five tackles in win over Glenville State ... first multiple-tackle effort of his career ... posted five solo stops against Cheyney two weeks later ... followed up with four tackles opposite Kutztown ... posted four stops against Mansfield and six at East Stroudsburg ... coupled with 18-tackle effort versus Bloomsburg, totaled 28 halts in three-week span ... posted four tackles, three assisted efforts in NCAA II playoff loss at Valdosta State in national semifinals.
