GENERAL INFORMATION
 
The West Chester University Cheer Team is sponsored by the Department of Athletics. The team is an integral part of the fan experience at all home football games as well as men's and women's home basketball games. The team also competes at the UCA Collegiate National Championship in Orlando, FL. Cheerleaders can major in any academic program, must be full-time students, and are expected to maintain high GPA standards. As varsity student-athletes, cheerleaders benefit from a range of support services available to West Chester varsity sports teams. 
 
FOOTBALL GAME SCHEDULE
Various weekends August through November. All home football games are mandatory, including those that may be held over school breaks.

BASKETBALL GAME SCHEDULE 
Various nights and weekends October through March. All home men's and women's basketball games are mandatory, including those that may be held over school breaks.

Q: Am I able to cheer as a commuter? 
A: Yes, athletes are not required to live on-campus. 

Q: Can cheerleaders choose to just participate in nationals?
A: No, all athletes must cheer both football and basketball games. 

Q: Are there cheer specific scholarships available?
A: No, we do not currently provide any scholarships.
