Jake Carr completed his first season on the baseball staff of head coach Mike LaRosa during the 2021 spring campaign. He works with the first-year head coach of the Golden Rams and fellow assistants Joey Gorman and Brian Lindros with in-game coaching duties as well as daily practice itineraries. 

Carr came to West Chester from University of the Sciences where he was the recruiting coordinator and the hitting coach for the Devils since 2018. He has extensive knowledge of K-Vest, Blast Motion and Rapsodo swing analyzers to assist with hitting techniques. 

He has also served as hitting coordinator and a Showcase coordinator for the On Deck Training Center since 2020 as well as serving as assistant coach at Valley Forge Military Academy and as an instructor at All-Star Baseball Academy in West Chester. 

An active member of the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA), Carr is Drive Line certified in his hitting techniques and brings that level of expertise, along with his four years of coaching experience, into his role with the Golden Rams on Mike LaRosa’s staff. 

He was a captain at all three stops during his college playing days at Delaware County Community College, Cumberland County College and Ohio Valley University. He holds an associate’s degree in Liberal Arts from Delaware County College in 2018, and will earn his bachelor’s of arts in Liberal Arts from Maryville University this May.
