Tyler Kmiec begins his second season as an assistant coach on Mike LaRosa's baseball squad. Kmiec will be in charge of hitting and coaching the catchers on the Golden Rams' squad.

His star pupil at West Chester, John DeMucci, was an all-region selection in 2024 by two different organizations and threw out six base stealers for the Golden Rams behind the plate. DeMucci was also named first-team All-PSAC East.

Kmiec also brings with him experience coaching the Trenton Capitals/South Jersey Kings in the ACBL where he did much of the same while also coaching first and third base.

The New Jersey native graduated from nearby Immaculata University in 2021 with a degree in English and a minor in Sports Communication. He earned his masters degree from Endicott College in Beverly, Mass., in Sports Leadership in May 2023.

While a catcher for the Mighty Macs from 2018-21, Kmiec was a three-time all-conference selection as well as an all-region pick his sophomore season. He was named Immaculata's most outstanding male athlete in 2021.
