Mark Mayson begins his first season at his alma mater this fall by following Duke Greco over to the Golden Rams from Delaware Valley University where he spent the last seven seasons.
A local high school coaching legend, who has a stadium named in his honor, Mayson joined the Del Val staff prior the 2017 season to work as a tight ends coach.Â
In 2022, Mayson received a special honor from the Maxwell Football Club when he was recognized for his contributions to football in the Philadelphia area.
Mayson spent 36 years as the head football coach at Lower Moreland High School and nearly 30 years as the district's athletic director. He retired on June 30, 2017, but not before having the high school stadium named after him.
As head coach, Mayson led Lower Moreland to three straight Bicentennial Athletic League titles (2008-10) and two district titles (2008-09) and three appearances in the state playoffs in the past decade alone.Â
Prior to Lower Moreland, Mayson taught and coached for nine years, starting in 1973.
