Big, strong offensive lineman with great potential for the future … listed second on the depth chart all season a year ago … never appeared in a game, enabling the freshman to use his red-shirt season … could have stepped in and played as a freshman … development and success of the offensive line last year allowed him to use the season to mature and grow into a college football offensive lineman … should benefit greatly from that opportunity … should contend for a starting role in 2008 … one of the team’s most talented linemen up front … possesses equal ability to pass protect as well as run block … uses his hands and his leverage well in the blocking game.
