Joe Suarez joined the West Chester men’s basketball staff for the 2019-20 season. He is a 1991 Graduate of The Haverford School, where he was All Inter-Ac and team captain in basketball. He was also a member of the baseball team.

Suarez, a 1995 Graduate of Goucher College in Towson, Md., earned his degree in business management. He was a member of the basketball Team that won school's first ever Capital Athletic Conference Championship.

A basketball personal trainer, Suarez coached the West Chester men's team in the Pro-Am Summer League. He also has experience coaching Downingtown Heat AAU, East Coast Power AAU, St. Joseph's Downingtown CYO.

Suarez is the former commissioner of Downingtown West Basketball League and the current head golf coach of Devon Prep.

Suarez resides in Downingtown, Pa., with his wife Deanna (West Chester University 1997 graduate) and his son Joey (15) and daughter Ayla (13).
