Freshman Majesta Valentine placed fourth overall in the all-around competition, at the USA Gymnastics Collegiate Nationals inside the Pizzitola Sports Center on the campus of Brown University late Friday night.

Valentine set a new school record with a score of 38.7 in the all-around competition. That was good for fourth place overall and a first-team All-America certificate. She also scored a 9.65 on the balance beam to place sixth. The top five finishers moved on to the finals on Sunday. Valentine scored a 9.7 on the uneven bars and a 9.725 on the vault. She also posted a 9.625 on the floor.
