Robert Knox batted .333 with a .444 on base percentage connected for his frist career home run while scoring six times and driving in five runs, to help West Chester to a 5-2 record for the week.

The freshmans started the week with a hit and a sacrifice fly in the openeing game on Monday at East Stroudsburg, then reached base four out of five plate appearances with two hits and scored two runs in the nightcap an 11-4 victory in eight innings to gain the split.

Knox broke a 6-6 tie with a two run homer, his first career long ball,  in the sixth inning to give West Chester and 8-6 lead en route to a 15-6 win at Philadelphia Universtiy. He went 2-4 with three runs scored and thee RBI.

Knox had a hit and scored a run during West Chester's five-run thrid inning in the opening game 7-6 victory over Shippensburg on Friday and ended the week by bringing home the first run of the game during a three run rally in WCU's 4-3 eight inning victory at Ship on Saturday.

WCU, who captured three out of four over the weekend with the Raiders are a season high ten games over five-hundred with a 23-13 record overall and sit in third place in PSAC East with a 15-9 league record with a weekend series with Millersville yet to play in the regular season.

Before that the Golden Rams head to Citizens Bank Park on Tuesday to take on Wilmington in the finals of the Bill Giles Classic at 3:30 PM.
