Jr., D Kaitlyn “Fudd” McFadden (Philadelphia, Pa. / Archbishop Ryan) provided West Chester with the winning goal in penalty kicks (5-4) to edge Notre Dame (OH) in the second round of the NCAA Division II Women’s Soccer Tournament on Sunday. “Fudd,” which is her nickname was the seventh shooter in penalty kicks with it tied at 4-4. Her shot went into the top right-hand corner to allow the Golden Rams to advance after a scoreless 110 minutes of action. “Of all people, I think she [McFadden] could handle the pressure and proved it,” stated head coach Betty Ann Kempf Townsley.
