West Chester’s Tim Brown had a career day, recording 9 receptions for 216 yards and two touchdowns in a 51-36 loss to Concord University in the NCAA Division II Playoffs on Saturday.
His first score came in the first quarter, being a 13 yard touchdown reception from QB Sean McCartney.
Later, Brown caught a 62 yard pass that found the end zone for the Golden Rams.
Brown’s 216 receiving yards is the most in a single game by a tight end in school history.
On the season, Brown had 53 receptions for 1,059 yards and 17 touchdowns.
Brown’s 1,000 yards receiving made him the first player in West Chester history as a tight end to hit that milestone in a single season.
In addition, his 17 TD receptions is also a school record for a tight end.
