West Chester third baseman Anthony Salomone (Dillsburg, Pa./Northern York) went 9-for-14 (.643) from the plate to earn the Athlete of the Week award in a release Monday afternoon.

Salomone's production at the plate helped the Golden Rams pull off the sweep of Lock Haven and remain in a tie for second place with East Stroudsburg heading into their home-and-home series this weekend to close out the regular season.
 
The junior knocked in eight runs in the four-game sweep of a home-and-home series versus Lock Haven, while scoring a run in each game of the series. He homered in each game of the doubleheader against Lock Haven on Sunday, while going 4-for-7 with four RBIs.
 
His hitting landed him a 1.286 slugging percentage, cluing five of his nine hits going for extra bases. In the field, Salomone did not commit a single error on nine chances.
