So., guard Malik Jackson (Lansdowne, Pa. / Penn Wood) played the best game of his collegiate career against host Wilmington on Monday, posting a career high 36 points and six assists as the Golden Rams never trailed in the 91-78 victory. Jackson simply could not miss in the first half, registering 27 points for the Golden Rams. The Philadelphia native shot 90 percent from the field (9-10) to along with seven 3-pointers (7-8) for an 87.5 percentage. West Chester's leading scorer captured his career high by being 11 of 15 from the floor (73.3%), while being 70 percent from the perimeter (7-10). Jackson connected on seven three-pointers, matching a career best that last occurred against IUP (Pa.) in 2015 and tied him for third all-time in program history. West Chester jumped on Wilmington early, as Jackson tallied the first seven points of the contest. Jackson’s spark allowed the Golden Rams to go on a commanding 19-2 lead in the first four minutes.
