Senior Claire Uhle (Blue Bell, Pa./Wissahickon) reached the semifinals of the 2016 ITA Atlantic Regionals held at the Pennbriar Racquet Club over the weekend.
 
Uhle earned a first round bye in singles and advanced past the second round with an impressive 6-1, 6-0 score over Slippery Rock's Kylee Woodman.
 
She followed that up on Sunday with a victory over her opponent from Mercyhurst, 6-3, 6-0. In the semifinal match, Uhle would drop a tough one to her Indiana (Pa.) opponent, 6-3, 6-4.
 
For the doubles tournament, Uhle teamed up with fellow senior Maddy Shaak (Myerstown, Pa. / Eastern Lebanon County). The pair began the day as the three seed.
 
The duo advanced 8-1 over Edinboro's Roxana Yeh and Laura Lopez in their first matchup. They would later fall to a doubles team from Mercyhurst, 8-4.
