Jared Melone (North Wales, Pa./North Penn) had a huge day on Wednesday afternoon as he went 5-for-6 with a grand slam, two doubles, seven RBIs and four runs scored against U Sciences. West Chester won this contest by a final score of 21-6.  In the fourth inning on Wednesday afternoon, Melone crushed a double to right field which scored Nick Ward to make the score 7-0 in favor of West Chester. In the fifth, Melone stepped up with bases loaded and he delivered a towering home run over the left field fence to make the score 13-0 West Chester while also recording his fifth RBI of the afternoon.  In the sixth, Melone continued to see the ball well as he drove a double into the right-centerfield gap that scored to score two and give WCU a commanding 17-6 lead with three innings left to play.  Melone also went 7-for-9 on Sunday afternoon with a double and a home run in two games against Southern New Hampshire.
