Mike Cipolla (Newark, Del./Charter School of Wilmington) was dominant this past week against Kutztown as he tossed a three-hit shutout against Kutztown in game three of the series over the weekend. Cipolla went the distance in this outing scattering just three hits and two walks over the course of his seven innings of work while striking out three. Cipolla allowed just one extra base hit (a double, which came during the second inning of play. This was the only Kutztown batter that managed to get to second base or further all afternoon as Cipolla managed to baffle the Golden Bears throughout the afternoon. Cipolla also managed to keep his pitch count low using just 91 pitches over the course of his complete game to give the bullpen a game off.  West Chester went on to win this game by a final score of 2-0. West Chester is now 24-11 overall and 13-7 in conference play with just two weeks left in the regular season.
