Shane Dressler (York Haven, Pa./Red Land) had a great week this past week as he went 9-for-16 (.562) with nine RBIs, eight runs scored, two doubles, two home runs and five walks. Dressler started his week on Tuesday night against St. Thomas Aquinas when he went 3-for-4 two RBIs, a run scored and a walk in what was a tough 12-8 loss for West Chester. Dressler bounced back on Saturday afternoon 4-for-5 with four runs scored, four RBIs, a double, a home run and three walks to help West Chester take two games from Bloomsburg to open the four-game set. In game one on Sunday, Dressler went o-for-3 but he did manage to work a walk and score a run in what was a tough 5-4 loss in game three of the series. Dressler recovered in a big way in the final game of the series as he went 2-for-4 with two runs scored, three RBIs, one double and one huge two-run home run that ultimately carried West Chester to 10-7 come from behind victory in the final game of the series. This performance also allowed West Chester to take 3-of-4 from Bloomsburg in what was a crucial series entering the final week of the regular season.
