Madison Kelly (Whitehall, Pa./Whitehall) had a great week this past week to help lead West Chester to its second consecutive NCAA Atlantic Region 1 Championship. Kelly went 4-for-9 with eight RBIs, two runs scored, one double, one triple, one home run and a walk. Against Chowan on Thursday afternoon Kelly had a huge day as she went 2-for-3 with three RBIs, one run scored, a triple and a walk in the Golden Rams opening round victory over Chowan. The next day against Lock Haven, Kelly came through when her team needed her the most driving in the only West Chester runs of the game with a clutch bases-clearing, three-RBI double in the sixth to lift West Chester to a 3-1 victory over Lock Haven. Kelly was far from done as she performed well once again on Saturday going 1-for-3 with two RBIs and one run scored courtesy of a towering two-run home run in the third, which put the game out of reach making the score 4-0 to help propel West Chester to the Regional title defeating Lock Haven for the second time in as many days. West Chester will be back in action this weekend against Gannon in the Super Regionals at West Chester.
