Joao Pedro Barreto (Niteroi, Brazil) returned to the pool for the first time in over a month and he picked up right where he left off early in November capturing two individual victories, three relay victories, a new pool record, and a second place finish to help West Chester sweep the Golden Ram Classic once again in 2018. Barreto began his weekend on Friday night as he finished in second in the 50 free trailing only teammate Pijus Mackevicius who captured the victory. On Saturday afternoon, Barreto secured victories in both the 100 and 200 fly while also swimming on the 200 medley relay, 800 free relay, and 400 medley relay teams that all picked up wins. Barreto also set a new pool record in the 200 fly registering a time of 1 minute and 49.47 seconds in a winning effort.
