Freshman Majesta Valentine won the balance beam, and floor exercise, and notched an all-around score of 37.425,in leading West Chester (3-0)  to victories over SUNY Cortland and Rhode Island College Saturday inside Sturzebecker HSC.

Valentine paced the Golden Rams with a 9.775 as West Chester set a new school record  of 47.925 on the beam breaking the school's old mark of 47.700. All five of West Chester's scoring gymnasts posted a mark better than 9.5.

Valentine also won the floor exercise with a score of 9.825, and scored a 9.475 in the vault.

West Chester travels to Towson University next Saturday for a quad meet with the host Tigers and Centenary College (La.) and Southern Connecticut State.
