Another Convincing Statement For the Defense In West Chester’s 61-42 Win

Box Score

PHILADELPHIA, Pa.
– Kenny St. George posted a game-high 18 points and Ralph Hegamin notched 17 as visiting West Chester’s stifling defense lifted the Golden Rams to a 61-42 non-league men’s basketball victory over host Holy Family Wednesday evening.

West Chester (5-2) held its opponent under 45 points for the second time in its last three games to record the win. Holy Family (1-9) dropped its fifth straight game.

Kehinde Roberts made his return to the Rams’ lineup with 15 points and five rebounds off the bench. Sandy Tanner scored eight points and registered six steals, tying his season-high for the year, while grabbing five rebounds as well.

Harrison Carsillo led the Tigers with 11 points. Holy Family shot 39 percent from the field for the game, including a woeful 2-for-12 from beyond the 3-point arc.

West Chester returns home Saturday to face Goldey-Beacom in another non-conference tilt over the winter break.
