WEST CHESTER, Pa. – Bloomsburg and West Chester played to a 0-0 tie in double overtime in a PSAC East men’s soccer showdown at the soccer fields at West Chester University Tuesday afternoon.
Senior goalkeeper Garret Santora made 10 saves in the scoreless deadlock, including a one-handed, diving punch save of a shot ear-marked for the upper left-hand corner late in the second half. In the first overtime, Santora caught a header destined for the near post to preserve the tie.
West Chester (4-3-2, 1-2-1 PSAC East) was outshot, 19-10, by Bloomsburg (4-1-4, 1-1-2) in the contest. The Huskies also held an 11-6 advantage in corners.
Justin Leiendecker made five saves for Bloomsburg.
