SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. - West Chester University downed host Shippensburg, 3-2, in a pivotal PSAC East women's volleyball showdown Tuesday evening.
With the win, the Golden Rams (14-3, 4-1 PSAC East) remain in second place, one game behind Lock Haven. West Chester won by scores of 25-21, 23-25, 25-19, 20-25, 15-12. Head coach Kassie Bellaver called a timeout in the fifth and deciding set with everything knotted up at 9-9. Her charges responded by doubling up the Raiders 6-3 the rest of the way.
West Chester hosts the PSAC crossover this Saturday at Hollinger Field House when they welcome nationally ranked and Western Division leader California (Pa.) to town.
