MANSFIELD, Pa. - Brittany Yetter scored twice and Hilary Smart notched three saves for the shutout as No. 3 West Chester downed host Mansfield, 2-0, Saturday afternoon in a PSAC East women's soccer match.
Yetter scored unassisted off a free kick in the seventh minute of the tilt to put the Golden Rams (3-0, 2-0 PSAC East) up early. She added an insurance tally in the 82nd minute to close out the scoring. Sarah Oswald picked up the assist on that marker late in the game.
Smart recorded her third consecutive shutout of the season, keeping alive her string of 270 minutes without allowing a goal. It also marked her 20th career shutout – a school record – and her 45th career win – another school record.
West Chester will be back in action on Tuesday when the Golden Rams return home for another PSAC East tilt against Kutztown.
