West Chester Men Handle Bloomsburg, 78-57

WEST CHESTER, Pa.
– Kenny St. George led all scorers with 19 points, and Anthony Haley and Kehinde Roberts each contributed 17 and 15, respectively, as West Chester remained unbeaten in league play with a 78-57 victory over an injury-riddled Bloomsburg squad Saturday afternoon in a PSAC East men’s basketball tilt inside Hollinger Field House.

West Chester (11-4, 2-0 PSAC East) has won four of its last five and own the school’s best record at the midway point of the season since the 2004-05 campaign.

The Golden Rams held a nine-point cushion at the half (38-29) and limited the visiting Huskies to just 31 percent shooting in the second half to pull away from their counterparts.

West Chester put four players in double figures with Ralph Hegamin notching 12 points. Roberts grabbed a game-high nine rebounds for the hosts.

Haley enjoyed a career day, adding eight rebounds and five assists to his 17 points.

Bloomsburg was led by Ronnie Benson’s 14 points and 10 each from Marko Vucajnk and Drew Jerry. The Huskies played without Ruben Britt while Dan Hoover tried to return from injury, but managed just nine minutes off the bench before exiting for good in the first half.
