MANSFIELD, Pa. - Ralph Hegamin scored a season-high 26 points and grabbed 18 rebounds. However, host Mansfield opened the game on a 21-7 run and never let West Chester (12-5; 3-1) get back into the game en route to a 79-68 PSAC men's basketball victory in Decker Gymnasium Saturday afternoon.
Sam Scott added 14 points and Kenneth St. George 13 points for the Golden Rams, who shot just 24.2 percent from the floor in the first half and trailed 37-25 at the break. Roberts was the fourth and final WCU player in double figures with 11 points and four assists.
Yuseff Carr led Mansfield with 26 points and Ryan Callahan added 20 for the Mountaineers.
