COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – West Chester University posted its highest score of the season at the Ursinus Invitational Friday evening. The Golden Rams registered a 178.825 in the women’s gymnastics meet.
Alaska-Anchorage scored a 191.850 to win the event while host Ursinus recorded a 182.025.
West Chester’s effort was sparked by the team’s best performance of the year on the bars with a 44.000. Ali Aquila led the way with a 9.35. She also posted a 9.400 on the vault where all five of the Golden Rams’ counting scores were above 9.00.
The Rams scored identical 46.125s on the vault and the floor exercise. Jenna Ciatto posted a 9.375 on the floor while teammates Erin Simon and Felicia Massaro each scored a 9.200. Massaro also registered a 9.350 on the vault.
Lindsey Britt had the other top score on the floor exercise with a 9.350.
West Chester will be back in action on Sunday when the Rams travel to Wilson College.
