Box Score

SHIPPENSBURG, Pa.
- Ralph Hegamin scored 19 points and grabbed 14 rebounds and Kehinde Roberts added 15 points as West Chester defeated host Shippensburg, 70-58, in PSAC East men's basketball action Wednesday night.

West Chester (14-6, 5-2 PSAC East) remains in the thick of the hunt at the top of the league standings with the win while Shippensburg (10-10, 2-5) continues its disappointing season within conference play.

The Golden Rams jumped out on the Raiders 17-7 in the game’s first eight minutes. Junior Sam Scott posted five points to help stake the visitors to the early lead. West Chester and Shippensburg would play nearly even basketball until the half as the Rams took a 37-26 advantage into the locker room.

The Raiders would go on a 9-2 run out of the gates in the second half to cut the deficit to four (39-35), but that was as close as the hosts could get the rest of the way as a 15-6 run midway through the stanza opened up a 13-point edge for West Chester.

Kenneth St. George posted 10 points and four assists for the Golden Rams. Shippensburg’s Derrick Graff finished with a game-high 20 points.

West Chester continues its road trip on Saturday when the Rams travel to Millersville for another PSAC East showdown. West Chester defeated Millersville earlier this season in overtime.
