Game 1 Box Score
Game 2 Box Score

WEST CHESTER, Pa.
– Jason Bowman tossed a complete-game three-hitter in the opener, and Connor Kerins picked up the win in the nightcap as host West Chester University swept a PSAC East doubleheader from visiting Millersville Friday at Serpico Stadium.

The Golden Rams (10-7, 2-0 PSAC East) opened the league slate with a sweep of Millersville
(8-9, 0-2) for the second time in as many years. West Chester has won its last six contests against the Marauders dating back to last season.

Bowman (1-2) was perfect for the first 4.2 innings before Millersville broke through with a single past shortstop. That was the only blemish against him until the visitors scored a run on two hits in the seventh.

West Chester scored one in the first, three in the third, one in the fourth and an insurance tally in the sixth. Kevin McGrath was 3-for-4 with a double and two RBI. Bob Stumpo went 2-for-3 with two RBI, and Kyle Orensky knocked in two runs.

In the nightcap, McGrath was 1-for-3 with two more RBI. Blair Dameron and Nick Spisak each collected two hits as well.

Kerins tossed six innings, allowing five hits and three runs while striking out five and walking two. He threw two wild pitches and hit a batter. Greg Ball pitched the seventh and allowed two runs, one of them earned, on one hit.

The Golden Rams trailed 2-1 when they exploded for five runs in the fourth and never looked back.

West Chester and Millersville complete a four-game weekend home-and-home series with a doubleheader Saturday at Millersville.
