Dameron Hits Two More Home Runs In West Chester Win Over Wilmington

WILMINGTON, Del. – Blair Dameron hit two more home runs to lead visiting West Chester University to a 14-8 non-league baseball win over host Wilmington (Del.) University Monday afternoon.

West Chester (29-9) upped its winning streak to six straight and has won 15 of its last 16 overall, including two consecutive wins over Wilmington (16-18).

Dameron hit home runs No. 9 and 10 on the season and finished with three RBI. Matt Cotellese and Kevin McGrath each collected three hits and hit a home run as well. McGrath rapped out two doubles in addition to his home run.

Jordan Lehman (2-0) picked up the win, going five innings and allowing four runs.

West Chester and Wilmington will meet again tomorrow at Citizens Bank Park, home of the World Champion Philadelphia Phillies, in the championship game of the Bill Giles Classic at 4 p.m. Wednesday would be the rain date should tomorrow’s weather not cooperate.
