MILLERSVILLE, Pa. - West Chester University's women's tennis team downed host Millersville, 7-2, Tuesday afternoon in a PSAC East Division match.
West Chester (6-8, 1-2 PSAC East) registered wins at the first three singles positions as well as No. 5 and No. 6. Maria Kostaris battled back at No. 1 singles after losing the first set to capture the next two and steal the match from Samantha Prager. Claire Afrassiabian, Kara Shumock, Teresa Grasso and Jessica Trahey were all straight-set winners.
Kostaris and Shumock teamed up at No. 2 doubles for a win while Ali Melham and Teresa Grasso teamed at No. 3 doubles for a victory as well.
West Chester returns home Wednesday afternoon for a PSAC East match with East Stroudsburg.
