Game Notes
WEST CHESTER, Pa. - West Chester University lifts the lid on its home slate Saturday afternoon with a 12 p.m. kickoff against California (Pa.) in a rematch of last season's PSAC Championship Game. The Golden Rams enter the contest ranked 21st nationally in both major polls looking to rebound from last week's setback at Delaware.
West Chester (1-1) is in search of its first win over Cal (0-2) since 1995, having dropped the last three meetings since 2007. The Golden Rams fell to the Vulcans twice in 2008 and are looking to buck that trend Saturday afternoon. Cal enters the game winless, hoping to get into the win column for the first time in 2009. The Vulcans started the year ranked among the Top 5 in the country, but have slipped out of the rankings altogether after its tough start. It doesn't get any easier this week.
