WEST CHESTER, Pa. – West Chester University polished off both Daemen College and Wilmington (Del.) University, 3-0 and 3-1, respectively, to finish the Ram Fest Tournament a perfect 4-0 Saturday afternoon at Hollinger Field House.
West Chester (7-1) ran its winning streak to six straight, but saw its 15-set win streak come to a close in the opening set at Wilmington.
Michelle Powers registered 12 kills against Daemen in the opener and contributed another 10 in the nightcap against Wilmington. Her 12 in the opener were a team high. Brooke Foskey posted seven kills against Daemen.
Lexi Kegerise knocked down a game-high 15 kills against Wilmington. Helen Fitzpatrick registered 35 assists in that contest, to go along with her 26 assists and 10 digs against Daemen.
Lisa Campbell notched 15 digs against her hometown university.
Kyra Yost also recorded 11 digs to help out the defensive effort in the Wilmington win. Nora Jingeleski posted 10 digs as well.
Kelly Martin had four aces in each contest Saturday.
The Golden Rams travel out west for the PSAC West crossover match next weekend. West Chester takes on Edinboro, Mercyhurst and Gannon.
