UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Penn State controlled much of the game en route to a 5-0 victory over visiting West Chester in a non-league field hockey contest Sunday afternoon.
West Chester (5-3) dropped its third straight since opening the campaign with a five-game winning streak. Penn State (2-6) outshot the Golden Rams 29-1 and held a 12-1 advantage in penalty corners.
Christine Dudek posted a goal and an assist as five different Nittany Lions found the back of the cage in the win.
West Chester goalkeeper Joelle Zarefoss made 17 saves in the loss.
West Chester will be back in action on Friday when it travels to Rider for another non-league tilt.
