Temple Field Hockey Shuts Out West Chester, 3-0

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. - Caryn Lambright scored a pair of second half goals to put away the contest as host Temple went on to a 3-0 shutout win over visiting West Chester in an Atlantic 10 field hockey tilt at Greasey Field Sunday afternoon.

West Chester (5-9, 1-2 Atlantic 10) dropped its second league contest of the weekend while Temple (7-9, 2-1) split its two league tilts. 

Lambright assisted on Temple's first goal of the game in the first half that gave the Owls a 1-0 lead at the break. She then scored twice herself in the second half to salt away the game for the hosts. 

Kristen Arnold (4-5) suffered the loss in the cage for West Chester, allowing one goal and registering a pair of saves. Gabby Panasiewicz played the second half and made two saves as well as allowing two goals. Sarah Dalrymple made two saves for Temple in the cage to record the shutout.

Temple outshot West Chester, 11-4 in the game.

West Chester returns to Vonnie Gros Field on Friday for a 3 p.m. Atlantic 10 contest against Richmond.
