PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – West Chester University’s women’s tennis team suffered a tough loss to Chestnut Hill on a sunny Saturday morning in the City of Brotherly Love. Chestnut Hill took the first two doubles matches then captured the top four in the singles to win the match, 6-3.
Kara Shumock and Nicole Paller had West Chester’s only win in the doubles (8-1). Winning for West Chester on the singles side were Alison Fetter, who shut out her opponent (6-0, 6-0) and Teresa Grasso winning both sets (6-1, 6-0).
Chestnut Hill came out strong in the singles defeating the top four players. No. 2 Luisi Souto won her first game, but fell short in the next two.
