SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. - Kehinde Roberts scored a team-high 21 points as visiting West Chester downed Shippensburg, 92-84, in a PSAC East men's basketball tilt Wednesday evening.
West Chester (16-10, 5-8 PSAC East) has now won two of its last three games while Shippensburg (11-15, 4-9) has now dropped four of its last five.
Kenny St. George scored 17 points and dished out seven assists in the win. Ralph Hegamin registered his 10th double-double of the year and 26th of his career by putting up 11 points and 10 rebounds. Freshman Harley Williamson scored 18 points.
Shippensburg outscored West Chester 54-46 in the second half. However, the Golden Rams had built a 46-30 lead by halftime and held off the homestanding Raiders down the stretch.
Lamar Jackson led the Raiders with 15 points. Craig Van Scyoc scored 13.
West Chester closes out the regular-season with a home game versus No. 17 East Stroudsburg on Saturday afternoon at 4 p.m. inside Hollinger Field House. It is senior day at WCU on Saturday and the Golden Rams will pay tribute to their five graduating seniors.
