COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. - Brittany Counts' win at first singles clinched a 6-3 victory over Ursinus College on a gorgeous afternoon in a non-league women's tennis match at Ursinus.
West Chester (9-3) won two of the three doubles matches and then took fourth and second singles wins, before Counts' 6-1, 6-1 decision swayed the verdict the visitor's way. Claire Afrassiabian shut out her opponent at fourth singles, 6-0, 6-0, while Louis Soto did the same at second singles.
Allie Fetter was a 7-5, 5-7, 10-5 winner at third singles for the sixth win of the match.
West Chester returns home for a non-league match against USP on Tuesday at 4 p.m. on South Campus.
